Two hundred seventy U-46 students in kindergarten through high school are on the brink of great discoveries. They are working on experiments, trying out their theories, and learning through hands-on activities. These future scientists are taking part in the
Discovery 2010 Science Fair.
This project, in partnership with the Gail Borden Public Library and the U-46 Educational Foundation, will culminate on Saturday, April 17th at the library with a Science Exposition from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
All of the student’s work, and their enthusiasm, will be on display. Optical illusions, body mass index, nitrates in the Fox River are some of the topics students are exploring. The purpose of the fair is to get students interested in science and – who knows you may learn something.
